Mantra Secures LED Lighting Retrofit Demonstration Project

Mantra Venture Group has announced that its subsidiary, Climate ESCO (CE), has received a LED lighting demonstration project for the District of North Vancouver. The project primarily focuses on showing the LED interior luminary applications for community properties. The District intends to test the advanced LED technology to calculate the costs and environmental savings related to the LED lighting usage, and to offer green leadership in the community.

The District of North Vancouver is using the Northlands Golf and Country Club for the completion of the project. CE is currently retrofitting the entire interior lighting system for the club house. The project will demonstrate how a large building can cut down power usage, maintenance expenditures and carbon footprint with energy-saving LED lights.

The demonstration project will also enhance the visual comfort and security of the club house. A third-party industry expert will be employed to monitor the lighting project. CE expects an independent report to establish the benefits of utilizing LED lighting as well as the economics of large-scale retrofitting of the District properties. The project is scheduled to be completed by September 2010.
