Dell has launched a new 5230dn monochrome laser printer that is specifically designed for high-volume printing applications.
The laser printer supports a combined input of 350 pages from the multipurpose and main trays. Users can add a 2000-sheet drawer feeder and three 550-sheet drawers to obtain a capacity of up to 4000 sheets.
The 5230dn features Ethernet and USB ports with an additional slot for parallel or serial connectors. The printer’s control panel includes a 4-line, 3'' backlit monochrome LCD, which can tilt in the upward direction. In addition, the control panel has a front USB port, a keypad and labeled buttons. Another option available with the 5230dn is an empty bay that allows users to add a hard drive for forms or fonts.
The 5230dn offers a high print speed and a duty cycle of 200,000 pages per month. The laser printer has an inexpensive toner, and can print 21.5 ppm and 23.4 ppm on a Mac and PC, respectively while printing text with simple monochrome graphics.
