Incognito Software, supplier of broadband provisioning software, and PMC-Sierra announced that they will demonstrate an EPON provisioning solution at the CableLabs Summer Conference in Colorado. The EPON solution will help cable operators to enable FTTx deployments by offering complete management capabilities.
Nowadays, PON technology is considered as an effective method to drive optical fiber more deep into the networks. The Broadband Command Center of Incognito Software and PMC-Sierra’s 10G EPON and standard EPON solution together will help in enabling economic EPON deployments.
The demonstration will display PMC-Sierra’s complete EPON solution with Incognito Software’s access network agnostic device provisioning software, focusing on service assurance, QoS, and network management, for a DOCSIS setting.
Incognito Software’s Chief Technical Officer, Chris Busch stated that the company is delighted to work with PMC-Sierra to allow PON ONU terminals provisioning. The Vice President of PMC-Sierra’s FTTH division, Raphael Sankar stated that they are strengthening their position as the leading FTTH silicon solution supplier to the XG-PON, 10G EPON, GPON and EPON markets.
