The EverGEN 1710 uses an advanced occupancy sensing technology, which is not provided in other LED lighting systems. The sensing technology enables all the lights on the trestle bridge to get activated even when a single LED unit senses motion. This feature provides enhanced security and safety by permitting a cyclist to light up the whole bridge area by simply moving under the first light.

The LED lights eliminate the need for electrical connections, which make them to be easily installed on the bridge. The LED lights provide environmentally-friendly illumination and offer significant cost savings.

The Chief Executive Officer of Carmanah Technologies, Ted Lattimore, stated that the solar LED lights are not only eco-friendly and cost-efficient, but also appeal to the community organizations who want to set a model for other communities.
