The FLASHWAVE 9500 supports various transport technologies such as SONET/SDH, ROADM and Connection-oriented Ethernet (COE) simultaneously. The platform integrates packet and circuit based switching to form a reliable and secure Global Information Grid.

The FLASHWAVE 9500 also supports the development of a universal optical infrastructure where SONET/SDH and Ethernet traffic can be separated and transported in its original format.

The COE transport technology integrates both connectivity and packet aggregation services with optical networking including precision fault sectionalization, management interface functionality and high-quality database and software management. The ONP’s ROADM option enables network scalability of up to 88 wavelengths.

Fujitsu Network Communications’ Vice President of federal sales, Jeana Cunningham, stated that the FLASHWAVE 9500 provides secure and continuous global network connection for both indoor and outdoor fields requiring important information.
