Level 3 to Offer SONET Diverse Entrance to Tech Vault Data Center

Level 3 Communications announced that it has entered into an agreement with Tech Vault for connecting its fiber-optic network to the latter’s data center. As per the agreement, Level 3 will offer its Synchronous Optical Networking (SONET) diverse entrance to Tech Vault’s colocation data center. In addition, Level 3 will provide 100 MB Dedicated Internet Access (DIA) services to Tech Vault beginning from July.

Robert Stewart, Tech Vault’s IT vice president, stated that Level 3’s optical networking assets provide higher efficiency, which is important for their facilities. He added that collaborating with Level 3 allows them to offer solutions for high-speed redundancy and connections.

Jeff Tench, Level 3’s President for Business Markets division, said that the company provides its enterprise users best experience and a local approach, as well as offers a direct fiber connection to the data centers of Vermont.
