Santec AOC and KS Photonics Form Equity Investment and Technical Alliance for Multicore Fiber Optical Components

Santec AOC Corporation (Komaki, Aichi, Japan; hereinafter “santec AOC”) has entered into an equity investment and technical alliance agreement with KS Photonics Inc. (Daejeon, Korea; hereinafter “KS Photonics”), a developer of multicore fiber (MCF) optical components. This collaboration aims to accelerate advancements in next-generation optical technologies for multicore fiber cable applications.

KS Photonics is a Korean venture company specializing in the research and development of MCF optical components. Meanwhile, santec AOC has been actively developing next-generation optical devices using MCFs in collaboration with domestic research institutions. By combining KS Photonics’ high-precision MCF optical component assembly technology with santec AOC’s expertise in MCF-based optical devices, the two companies expect to achieve breakthrough performance improvements in MCF optical components.

Through this strategic alliance, santec AOC and KS Photonics will work together to accelerate commercialization efforts and further expand the application of MCF technologies in the optical communications industry.
