With outstanding time-resolution, excellent timing precision, and up to 16 flexible channels, the device is engineered for high-throughput applications, making it ideal for rapid, large-volume data acquisition. The HydraHarp 500 will be presented to the public for the first time at the SPIE Photonics West conference in San Francisco, USA, from January 25-30, 2025, at booths 8511 and 3511.

The HydraHarp 500 is ideally suited for advanced research areas such as quantum communication, quantum entanglement, quantum information, the characterization of single-photon sources and time-resolved spectroscopy. Different trigger options to support a wide range of detectors, from single-photon avalanche diodes (SPADs) to superconducting nanowire single-photon detectors (SNSPDs) maximize flexibility in instrumentation.

The versatile interfaces such as USB 3.0 and external FPGA for data transfer ensure seamless integration and efficient data transfer, while White Rabbit allows precise cross-device synchronization for distributed setups. The HydraHarp 500 has 16 independent channels with market-leading low deadtime plus a common sync channel which enable true simultaneous multi-channel data recording with no deadtime between channels.

Whether it is achieving precise photon correlation measurements, ensuring reproducible results, or integrating advanced setups, the HydraHarp 500 redefines what is possible — offering precision, flexibility, and efficiency combined with reliability and seamless integration. From innovative TCSPC systems, such as the HydraHarp 500, to state-of-the-art photon detectors, PicoQuant enables cutting-edge research to achieve breakthrough results in photonics and quantum research.
