Intense Lighting, Inc. a leader in providing high quality, specification grade lighting solutions, proudly announces that it is a 2013 recognized winner in the Next Generation Luminaire (NGL) Solid-State Lighting Design Competition.
The NGL honored 28 of 156 entries in commercial LED indoor lighting products for excellence on Wednesday at the LEDucation 7 lighting conference in New York. Intense Lighting won with the ORBIS LED Track Luminaire. The ORBIS LED is an expansion of Intense Lighting's award-winning MB track line but offers a cleaner, more sophisticated design aesthetic. This latest win reflects four consecutive years that Intense Lighting has won an NGL Award.
"Winning at the NGL Awards for our ORBIS LED track luminaire is quite an honor", says Allan Gray , Company President. "This win marks an unprecedented four years in a row for us and we couldn't be more proud. The new ORBIS LED offers clean design aesthetics combined with excellent efficiency and optical performance. The NGL awards validate our ongoing commitment at Intense Lighting to create the most innovative, solutions-based lighting products possible."
The ORBIS is a highly efficient luminaire and offers an efficiency of 68 lumens per watt (LPW). With its excellent beam control combined with a miniature package, the ORBIS LED is an excellent alternative to a 50W MR16 or 20W ceramic metal halide. The ORBIS track luminaire features multiple CRI and CCT options, 3 Step MacAdam (3 SDMC) binning, and active thermal management that includes a quiet and reliable operation noise rating below 22dBA. The luminaire also has dimming capabilities from 100 to 10 percent. Compared to the popular MB track product line, the ORBIS offers a sleek, more sophisticated alternative giving specifiers more options in LED track luminaires than ever before.
