OxySense Introduces a Breakthrough Invasive Optical Measurement Needle

OxySense Inc., the leader in optical and non-invasive oxygen measurement systems announced the new Sidewinder Invasive Measurement Needle.

The Sidewinder Needle allows users of the OxySense state-of-the-art system to measure headspace and dissolved oxygen in closed and opaque containers.

The Sidewinder Needle allows users to perforate rigid containers (cans, bottles and PET packages) and flex packs and take measurements with the same award winning OxySense system and technology they use for their non-invasive tests and permeation studies.

The Sidewinder uses the same OxyDot Sensor (O2xyDot®) that has made OxySense the leader in optical oxygen sensing; this means it does not extract a sample to take a reading – thereby significantly reducing the likelihood of pulling in external oxygen, and contaminating the sample. Built of heavy gauge stainless steel, each Sidewinder Needle is good for hundreds of measurements, even in metal cans or through metal caps.

Accurate, fast, user friendly and very affordable to own and use (virtually no maintenance and no annual calibration requirements) – it is the ideal addition to your lab's resources.

OxySense, Inc. is the international leader in optical oxygen sensor systems for the packaging, packing and processing industries. The OxySense Technology and its innovative optical sensing systems can be found in the research labs and on the production floors of many of the world's most progressive companies.
