This pineapple symbol serves as the theme for Nelson project.
Founded in 1841, Nelson, New Zealand is the second ancient city located on the eastern shores of Tasman Bay. This city was named after Admiral Horatio Nelson who won the 1805 Battle of Trafalgar against French and Spanish fleets. Most of the roads and public areas across the city bear the name of individuals and ships involved in that battle. The Nelson economy is known for ‘big four’ industries such as tourism, seafood, horticulture, and forestry. Port Nelson is Australasia’s largest fishing port. Additionally, a large number of growth industries such as engineering technology, arts and crafts, information technology and aviation exist.
