Philips Lumileds’ LUXEON M is now available in volume production. Looking forward to be exhibited at the Light + Building expo, LUXEON M has received approval for street lighting in major cities in the US.
Having high lumen output with over 1100 lm, and typical voltage of 11.2V, LUXEON M reduces system cost and enhances system performance by employing low cost, high efficiency drivers. Moreover, the overall solution costs have been minimized by the brilliant light output and efficacy at operating conditions.
These simple solutions are based on fewer components and off the shelf drive electronics, optics and Future Lighting Solutions’ thermal solutions. Besides optimizing the optical control and light quality necessary for outdoor lighting, these solutions help in cost minimization.
According to the VP of Marketing for Philips Lumileds, Rahul Bammi, LUXEON M is a revolutionary solution and develops the cost and design attributes of new solutions similar to the LUXEON Rebel launched in 2007. The company employs standardized footprint features and drive requirements in response to the feedback from municipalities, private property owners and customers, thereby making LUXEON M to perform beyond their objectives and expectations.
LUXEON M is available in three different correlated color temperatures such as 3000K, 4000K, and 5700K, generating over 1100 lm with a minimum CRI of 70. All LUXEON M are hot tested, specified at 85°C and ensures freedom from binning.
LUXEON M is readily available at Future Lighting Solutions. Both Lumileds and Future Lighting Solutions will showcase the recent product innovations at Light + Building in April and LIGHTFAIR, which is scheduled in May.
