Ruud Lighting’s division BetaLED has launched thin, discreet, unique area lighting fixtures called BetaLED SLM IP66 for outdoor applications.
The architectural grade lighting fixture’s superior efficacy is a result of its distinctive modular design coupled with patented NanoOptic technology and light bar expandability. It is named after its intrusion protection rating of 66. It is suitable for all type of wall or pole-mounted area illumination purposes.
The BetaLED SLM IP66 offer over 85% expected lumen continuance at 25°C at an operating life of 50,000 h. BetaLED offers more than 20 optical patterns for the luminaires. The luminaire’s linear light engine is capable of housing two LED modules with LEDs in the multiples of 10, between 20 and a maximum of 60 LEDs, in order to offer tailored lighting based on the requirement of applications. The SLM IP66’s sophisticated heat transfer system featuring patented flow-through design offers high lumen continuance even in adverse conditions.
According to Christopher Ruud, who serves as President at Ruud Lighting, the BetaLED SLM IP66’s design is the result of company’s characteristic extensive engineering from the scratch. The company’s patented optical pattern couples with the new LED chip technology resulting in the optimization of illumination performance and reduction in cost of production for numerous applications, he added.
