Molex and Bridgelux Introduce New Helieon Sustainable Light Module

Molex and Bridgelux have launched a new modular plug-and-play solid-state lighting solution that can be connected directly to 120V AC input voltage. It combines Molex’ engage-and-turn interconnect technology and Bridgelux’ solid-state lighting technology.

Helieon 120V AC Sustainable Light Module

The Helieon 120V AC Sustainable Light Module will provide 1200 or 2000 lm of precision lighting with viewing angles of 32 and 120 degrees in 3000 K CCT. The module completely integrates the electronic components and provides a simple design for lighting manufacturers. The light eliminates the necessity for external drivers and provides consistent and efficient lighting performance. It works with most dimmers available in the market and is TRIAC dimmable. The design is future proof as the power conversion circuitry and the driver are completely integrated, and improvements can be made to the driver to upgrade the luminaires.

The Helieon Sustainable Light Module had received the LIGHTFAIR International Most Innovative Product of the Year Award in 2010. Molex and Bridgelux will exhibit the light module at LIGHTFAIR International 2011 in Philadelphia.
