Test & Measurement World has announced Teledyne DALSA as one of the finalists for the ‘Best in Test’ awards 2011. Teledyne is competing for the title with its Piranha HS 12k camera. The winners will be declared at the award ceremony, which will be conducted at the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose, California in May 4, 2011.
The Test & Measurement World presents the awards for innovative products utilized in the inspection, measurement and testing applications. The image acquisition systems and cameras from Teledyne DALSA have received the Best in Test award under the inspection and machine vision category for three times in the last five years. The magazine has been presenting the Best in Test Product Awards every year since 1991.
The Piranha HS 12k 90-kHz camera is the first 12k time delay and integration camera in the world. It utilizes the HSLink interface, the latest machine vision connectivity interface developed by Teledyne DALSA, to offer ultra speeds of more than 1 GP per second. AIA is now using the interface as its new Camera Link HS standard. The Camera Link HS includes the latest capabilities and features as well as the important functions of Camera Link in order to fulfill present and future demands of customers.
The Piranha HS camera is an ideal replacement for other line scan imaging devices as it fulfills responsivity and line rates required for demanding applications. The camera’s resolution of 12k pixels enables end users to minimize the number of cameras in a system. The Piranha HS camera is ideal for monitoring of solar cells, printed-circuit boards, electronics, flat panel displays and other ultra-speed web applications.
