Spectroline, manufacturer of UV and LED products, has rolled out a new ultraviolet lamp that can be utilized as a stand-alone lamp unit where UV coverage is essential.
The XX-15NF UV lamp can also be used as a module of the CL-150 UV photo documentation system.
The XX-15NF lamp features two 15 W tubes, with one tube emitting short-wave UV at 254 nm and the other tube emitting long-wave UV at 365 nm. The lamp has a LONGLIFE glass filter that assures high initial UV intensity. The glass filter is also solarization resistant.
Short-wave UV light is used for vitamin and steroid separations, UV sterilization, mycology, microbiology, toxicology, and mutation studies. The long-wave UV light is used for fluorochemistry, specimen staining, bacterial identification, gel electrophoresis, and chromatography applications.
The XX-15NF lamp has a specular aluminum reflector that ensures improved UV irradiance. It is housed in rugged aluminum and weighs 2.9 kg. The lamp can be easily mounted by using robust brackets.
