ADC Debuts New Fiber Solutions at the 2010 FTTH Conference and Exposition

Provider of network infrastructure products, ADC is displaying the new additions of its fiber solutions at the 2010 FTTH Conference and Exposition in Las Vegas, from September 12 to 16. ADC has exhibited the new OmniReach RealFlex Universal Drop Cable, and the FPX Fiber Panel Series, at the show.

The FPX fiber panels are designed for applications that have high termination counts. They offer termination/splicing, termination only, and MPO cassettes, in a single compact footprint. The fiber panels integrate the features of angle-left/angle-right adapters, and vertical cable guides, for providing convenient connector access, intuitive cable routing, and bend radius protection. The FPX panels comply with the NEBS and UL 1863 standards to meet the carrier requirements.

The OmniReach RealFlex Universal Drop Cable is developed to match the requirements of indoor and outdoor drop cable, in a single solution. It provides good savings by eradicating the requirement for splice labor and termination devices, and the need for procuring, warehousing and employing many types of cable, for service drop cable use.

Director of Carrier Solutions for the Global Connectivity Solutions division of ADC, Trevor Smith stated that the fiber solutions help in boosting the high-bandwidth services deployment, which the carriers need for retaining and growing the subscriber base.
