The Home Depot now provided a large assortment of 40 W equivalent LED bulbs that are economic. The company is offering the LED bulbs under its proprietary EcoSmart brand name. As the legislation requires phasing out of select incandescent bulbs manufacturing by 2012, the company is offering these LEDs.
The 40 W equivalent LED bulbs have a lifetime of 50,000 hours and deliver 429 lumens of light. The company will also provide LED bulbs that support various lighting fixtures such as outdoor spotlights, room lights, track lights, and accent lights. All the LED bulbs are completely dimmable.
The Executive VP for Merchandising at Home Depot, Craig Menear stated that the company is offering cost-efficient LED with the most advanced and latest LED technology available. He added that by partnering with LED manufacturers such as Cree, Lighting Science Group, and Philips, the company has been able to provide affordable LED options first in the market for various lighting fixtures.
