Manufacturer of scanning solutions for laser beam deflection and positioning, SCANLAB AG has unveiled a new Laser Material Processing Software, the laserDESK, at the Photonics West 2010 event. The software supports all capabilities of SCANLAB’s iDRIVE control and servo concept, and the RTC5 controller board.
The laserDESK software provides position signals of 20 bits and a virtual image field of 24 bits useful for layout positioning. It also provides a user-friendly I/O communication interface for the computer, and laser control featuring error monitoring. The software also has the potential to question multiple status details in real-time.
The company’s scan systems, scan heads, and galvanometer scanners are utilized for biomedical and medical technology, and laser material processing. SCANLAB serves customers in various application areas such as welding, cutting, microstructuring, and marking. It had launched numerous products including the SCANcube, intelliSCAN, and hurrySCAN scan-head series.
