eMagin to Develop New OLED Deposition Machine

Manufacturer of advanced OLED micro-display systems, eMagin Corporation, has signed an agreement to develop a novel OLED deposition machine. The new machine will be a critical component in the development of the OLED microdisplays and is anticipated to be completed by 2011.

The OLED deposition machine is expected to boost the OLED deposition capacity, to contribute to more automated procedures and to increase the yield substantially. The OLED deposition machine will replace the current R&D machine, Satella, which has been used for production since 1996.

The President and CEO of eMagin Corporation, Andrew Sculley stated that the OLED deposition machine will contribute to the company’s growth in the future, and will promote increased production efficiencies. The company’s R&D group will utilize the Satella machine, which will help deliver a more efficient manufacturing process.
