Leica Geosystems has launched the Leica ScanStation C10, the fastest and most flexible laser scanning system. This HDS (High-Definition Surveying) scanner improves the accuracy and productivity in large projects and routine surveys.

The ScanStation can scan a maximum of 50,000 data points in one second. The C10 captures sub-level, horizontal, vertical, and overhead geometry on a full field-view. The HDS avoids the requirement of reflectors and improves the safety of workers, while scanning bridges, towers and other such dangerous structures.
The fully integrated, C10 is a cordless system featuring onboard batteries for more field use time. The scanning system comprises of an onboard interface with a high-resolution integrated zoom camera and a color touch-screen. The CMOS digital image sensor, incorporated in the system, offers 5M-pixel high-resolution, and captures continuous video, as well as single frames.
The scanner includes a rotating horizontal turret, laser plummet, and a dual-axis compensator for a fast setup on a known point. The Leica C10 has the ability to interface with survey accessories including the Leica GPS SmartAntenna, total station prisms, and TPS batteries.
